Many farmers have little awareness and concern for their farm environment's soil and water quality. Soil and water testing is not a sophisticated activity. Still, it needs to be done at an extensive level with high frequency so that many diseases and productivity challenges can be detected and checked early to avoid losses.

Similarly, only a limited number of farmers are accessing laboratory services for timely diagnosis of diseases, abnormalities, and problems related to feeding farm animals leading to loss of productivity.
